The Role
We are seeking a freelance website designer to refine, elevate, and optimize The Welcome List website for both user experience and conversions.
This role is heavily focused on design, layout, structure, and performance not just aesthetics, but building a site that turns visitors into featured vendors and inquiries.
Responsibilities
Website Design & Optimization
- Redesign or refine existing website layout for a polished, professional look
- Improve user journey and navigation flow
- Optimize featured vendor pages for conversions
- Enhance mobile responsiveness and site speed
- Implement clear calls-to-action throughout the site
- Strengthen SEO structure and on-page optimization
- Analyze traffic data and recommend improvements
- Ensure cohesive branding across all pages
Qualifications
- Strong portfolio showcasing clean, conversion-focused websites
- Experience with SEO fundamentals and site optimization
- Understanding of UX/UI best practices
- Ability to design with brand identity and audience in mind
- Detail-oriented and able to work independently
- Bonus: Experience with wedding, hospitality, or local directory-style platforms
Compensation
Project-based (based on scope and experience).
